Den norske sølvplaten |
En av de som solgte til sølv var "Hey Jude" / "Revolution", og i helgen ble et norsk sølvplatetrofe for nettopp denne singlen solgt på ebay av en norsk samler. Starbudet var på 1000 britiske pund, men etter at dette budet hadde stått nesten en uke kastet to andre budgivere seg inn i kampen. Sluttresultatet ble at sølvplaten gikk for 1623 pund, noe som tilsvarer nesten 18 000 kroner.
Her er selgerens beskrivelse av objektet:
"Back in the 60's and early 70's it was the Norwegian newspaper Arbeiderbladet that was making and giving out the official Norwegian record awards on behalf of the record companies. Normally it was made 1 copy for the artist and 1 for the record company. This one is the one that was for EMI Parlophone here in Norway, and my friend bought it from one of the guys working at the record company some years ago."
"This is your chance to get your hands on one of the rarest Norwegian collectibles around. I can't tell if it was made one for each of the members or only one for the whole band, but it was made maximum 5 of this. Where the other(s) are today I don't think anybody knows. Maybe one is on Pauls wall?"
